Ecuador’s highlights come thick and fast on this adventure holiday which showcases its beauty and contrasts.
From snow-capped Andean volcanoes to sunny Pacific coast to Amazon jungle, Ecuador is as diverse as it is accessible.
Despite its small size, Ecuador is one of the most geographically varied countries in the world and is known as a kind of giant natural laboratory. Charles Darwin and Edward Whymper all published adventure books recounting tales of fantastic animals, ice-capped volcanoes and impenetrable Amazonian jungle.
The friendly people are as intriguing as landscapes, and colourful markets, Inca ruins and comfy hotels line your route.
Activities include riding the famous Devil’s Nose train, hiking in rainforest and the famous Inca ruins of Ingapirca.
We visit national parks and UNESCO sites, shop at Indian markets and explore Quito, and gaze at waterfalls.
If you have time, an extension to the Galapagos Islands caps off the perfect trip to Ecuador, South America in miniature.
