The sailing season is from September to April. Departures from Ushuaia, Argentina, for the 4 day/3 night expedition cruise, are on Wednesdays and Saturdays. From Punta Arenas, Chile, for the 5 day/4 night itinerary, departures are on Saturdays and Tuesdays.
Not only is the cruise a worthy expedition in itself but it is a novel way of traveling from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas and vice versa.
Highlights
Some of the highlights that are visited in both directions are Cape Horn National Park where, weather permitting, one may disembark and Wulaia bay which was one of the places Darwin disembarked at in the Beagle and which was once the largest Yamana aboriginal settlement.
